MLC recruited new specialists to provide services such as psychomotor therapy, and speech-language pathology available in Arabic, English and French as a second language..
Regarding the economical situation, the center contributes more than 75% and up to 100% of the cost of each session, considering the difficulties living conditions of families who suffer financially and healthily in these stressful and worrying circumstances, so they could pursue their required sessions.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of funding to respond to these such emerging and increasing needs, we work hard to ensure that the cost of these specialized services be covered, and thus protect and maintain the continuity of the necessary follow up of the beneficiaries. Especially since specialized centers, if any exist in this region, are costly and not easily accessible to all those in need.
C.C. is 7 y.o, following up on speech and language therapy sessions. According to the mother: “we feel empowered and more relaxed as parents because we have seen the progress in short term, we are lucky to have an excellent therapist. Our son is very happy now and always ready and excited to come to MLC”.
A.Y. is 15 y.o., struggling with many mental and behavioral difficulties, affect his educational achievement, he needs a special care and intensive follow up. “As parents we are coming from remote region trying to reach the best accompaniment and despite several difficulties, we found the specialists and counselling here at MLC center. We are very grateful”.
A.G. is 2 y.o., suffers from congenital problems affecting his physical growth and development skills. When he first came to the center, he refused any intervention, currently he is coming with his mother regularly, relaxed and interact with the team. The mother is very thankful and appreciate the kind services provided from MLC.
A.H. is 4 y.o, according to the father: “A.H. has speech difficulties with some letters, he was followed up by specialists in another center, due to bad circumstances, the father could not afford the cost of the sessions anymore, so he came to MLC to seek help. Now, A.H. and his parents feel comfortable and show remarkable progress.
A.B. is 10 y.o., faced a lot of problems in school, particularly difficulties related to concentration and memory issues. The speech and language therapists follow him with specialized interventions using appropriate methods through Arabic and in English sessions, which is help him to develop his skills in relationships with classmates and teachers. Recently, he expresses how much he feel confident and proud of his results.
A.W. is 12 y.o., a very committed child with high level of responsibilities, he faced learning difficulties, their parents are very caring and cooperative with The MLC therapist’s instructions. He still need support to reach a satisfied and good level of achievement at school.
